Camilo Londoño (Medellín, Colombia, 1991) is a Colombian writer, visual artist and independent curator who lives and works in Germany. Working at the intersections of writing with film, photography and performance, his work plays with the boundaries of literature to open up the cracks of affect. Portraying personal stories from an intimate place, he asks about sexuality, pleasure and power in search of fractures within patriarchal discourses. In recent years, living with HIV has led his artistic practice to reflect on the tensions of the body, language and space. He holds a master's in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies from the Bauhaus-Universität in Germany. In 2022, with a grant from Colombia's Ministry of Culture, he published his first short-story collection, "Los perros esperan bajo la sombra". As an academic, he taught at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana for 5 years, where he carried out research on the cuir, image and word that led to talks and publications in Colombia, Mexico, Lisbon and Argentina. In 2015 he received the Creation Grant for Foreign Artists in Mexico, and in 2014 he did an internship at UNAM's Institute of Aesthetic Research in Mexico City. He has shown his work as a curator, artist and filmmaker in museums, galleries and festivals in Colombia, Germany, Argentina, Mexico, Cuba, Spain, Costa Rica and the United States.
