Victor Hugooli
(1997, Recife, Brazil) is a self-taught Luso-Brazilian director based in Portugal. His career was built outside formal film-school paths and took shape through constant audiovisual practice, with a growing interest in processes guided by listening, an ethics of care, and responsibility for what the image produces. He has directed more than a hundred music videos and, in parallel, has deepened his learning through workshops and masterclasses with professionals such as Scandar Copti, Eduardo Williams and Yorgos Lamprinos, among others. In 2024 he premiered his first short film, Ensaio da Loucura. He then co-directed Abril de Helena, currently in the early stages of distribution. He is now beginning post-production on his third short film (working title: Retomada / Dona Maria).
